Putting an outfit together can feel like you need to think about so many key elements, from shoes, to accessories, to vests and jackets, but at the end of the day, choosing the right color for the occasion is the most essential part. It’s all about nailing the right shades, the perfect hues. You can take a classic little black dress and elevate it with the right color purse or some heeled sandals in a funky color.
We’re venturing into a yellow and green spring era. The runways have spoken and there are lots of fun color trends you should keep in mind when styling an outfit. You might even end up trading your little black dress for a bright, colorful number if you fall in love with these trends.
Here we’ve gathered and broken down the top color trends for spring 2022:
- Lime green: We still love those more muted greens we saw last year, but in 2022 we can’t resist the lime green trend. On the runway we got to see lovely, bright green tea-length gowns, and out and about we had influencers like Emma Chamberlain rocking satin green mini dresses. When styling this shade, pair it with neutral, black or white footwear and let it stand alone.
- Orange: With Versace putting out a bold, orange mesh dress, lots of people have come out in bright orange outfits. Style this trend with a monochrome look, orange heels, orange bag. Or take a page from the runways and add some contrast with black sandals or blue purses.
- Sunny yellow: Spring arrives and we want to wear all kinds of yellow. From pale, to neon to a more mellow shade, pair this beautiful color with your favorite baggy jeans or shirt jacket. Pairing yellow with contrasting colors makes your look even more radiant!
We all want our white shoes to look brand new and with the new season we bet you’ve tried lots of things. Everyone has their own idea of what keeps shoes clean, but what is the easiest way to get out sneakers to stay white? Here we’ve gathered our tried-and-tested methods to keep our shoes clean during the season. Using bleach : A good, surefire way to get rid of dirt and avoid any yellowing from store bought products is to use bleach. In a room with an open window, mix 1 part bleach, 5 parts water, dip a toothbrush and scrub your shoes. With warm water, rinse them and let them air dry overnight. Using baking soda: One of the best cleaning agents, baking soda only needs warm water and some white vinegar to get our shoes back to their original shade of white. Mix the baking soda, water and vinegar until you have a paste and cover the shoes with it. Leave them outside for a couple of hours and brush out the paste. They should be noticeably whiter afterward. Using shoe cleaner : Try a soft, natural cleaner that you can lather on top of your shoes. Let it work for 2 to 3 hours and then wash off with warm water. This option is free from harsh chemicals, so you can have the peace of mind that it isn’t going to cause wear and tear to your sneakers.
